Shopping in Mt. Lebanon, PA

If your idea of shopping is to park once and see what catches your eye, start in Uptown Mt. Lebanon. For a different experience, spend part of the same visit on Beverly Road. Both have shops and restaurants, but one is the town’s central business district and the other is a smaller neighborhood stretch.

Uptown is the stretch of Washington Road between roughly 600 and 733 Washington Road. Shops and restaurants share the street, so you can browse before lunch and walk back along the other side afterward. If you enjoy browsing used books, add a stop at The Book Cellar, the Friends of the Library bookstore on the lower level of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.

The shopping stretch runs from Overlook Drive toward Ralston Place. You’ll find gift shops, restaurants, a salon, and a dry cleaner. It’s the kind of place to test a very ordinary Saturday plan: pick out a birthday gift, stop for lunch, and see how the trip feels from a home on your list.

Explore Mt. Lebanon’s Shopping Districts

Start at the front door of the home and walk to the shop you’d actually visit. Notice the hills, sidewalks, and street crossings in both directions. A shopping district can be easy to explore on foot once you’re there; whether you’ll enjoy walking to it depends on the particular address.
